We had a short summer window so decided to go see my Mom in Saskatoon. Here
are some photos of the action-packed trip.

First, Henry has been REALLY enjoying his Crunch Labs boxes every month. This one was
a discussion around extensions/linear movement and he built a spirograph, which was awesome.

Full size
Before we left Saskatoon, we took apart the Wii and cleaned the lens of the DVD drive with
a homemade lens cleaner since no one has the old Wii cleaner anymore. I did find it on Ebay
but they wanted $100 to ship it to Canada so that was a no-start. Anyway, Walter now has
Super Mario 1, 2, 3 and the hidden levels to explore on the Wii so we can deal with a rainy day now!

On the drive to Saskatoon, we took a different route since we were in the city for my hand
appointment. This took us south and east of Drumheller and found this sweet rest stop at
the Carolside reservoir and this mesosaur. Cleanest and best-designed outhouse I've seen.

One of the first things Henry does when he gets to Grandma G's is he turns on her fountain and
starts to play in it.

The boys went to Apex Trampoline part and jumped with their cousin Luc

Grandma G and Natalia got to take a load off. For $2 you get 6 minutes of King Kong chair love!

Full size
Here's Luc jumping around.

Full size
Henry figured out that he could skip a step in getting up on this ramp by jumping there from
the trampoline.

Henry and Luc on the ramp and Walter jumping into the big crash pad.

Full size
And then crushing slurpees after.

Full size
Next, it was on to mini-golf at Fuddrucker's. Here are the boys near a cool water feature.

Full size
It's quite rare we get Henry in an outside photo with no sunglasses. Here he is in front of
a water wheel that works.

The boys and a castle.

Full size
The boys with Walter being silly.

Full size
Natalia and Walter at the table eating walleye that my Mom caught.

Full size
I took Luc out to explore cool cars near my Mom's house. It's pretty close so we just biked over
for a look. This is a 'G wagon', which is apparently quite the deal at ~$350K.

Full size
Luc liked this little Audi.

Full size
And this rad little Land Rover.

Full size
This sports car is owned by a private owner and apparently puts out 750 hp.
I'm not convinced it's ever been driven.

Full size
Natalia made her homemade mushroom sauce which my Mom loves.

Full size
Janet and Rick spoiled the boys and got them new RC cars, which they LOVED!

Full size
Yummy dinner!

Full size
I got to watch some of Luc's hitting camp. That's him with the puck.

Full size
Left side player.

Full size
Starting to figure out how to push and get pushed around.

Luc succcessfully moving a player out of the zone

Luc working around a player and putting the puck in the net

Full size
We went back to have a look inside the Porsche dealership and Luc got to see this sports car.

Full size
Luc and I went for a test drive at the Tesla dealer and drove a model 3 into the ground. Or at least
as much as you can with a 136 km/hr limit.

Full size
We went for a short visit with my Aunty Deb and the boys got to jump on the trampoline at
the neighbour's house.

Full size
The boys with their candy from aunty Deb. Henry was most pleased with this visit and said that
Aunty Deb's house was the best because of her cats and her candy.

Full size
Next, we got a tour of my buddy Erik's new plane - a Stinson from 1946. This is a tubular aluminum
construction with aluminum and rivets on the shell. Here's Henry trying out the controls and he
was super excited to find out that all of the controls move cables that run on pulleys and control
the air surfaces.

Full size
Luc got into it too. This plane is called a 'Flying Station Wagon' but only has four seats.

Full size
Henry adjusting and playing with the tail.

Full size
We also got to check out this Mooney.

Full size
And a Mooney mini, which is just a single passenger plane.

Full size
Henry liked this old fire truck too.

Full size
The boys inside a Cherokee Piper 6.

Full size
Then the boys hucked water bottles around the runway as boys will tend to do.

Full size
The last thing I did at my Mom's was replace her front deadbolt. Of course, after ordering a new
one, I realized that the hole in the door wasn't big enough. After borrowing a drill press from
Erik's hangar, and buying a hole saw bit (and a bunch of screwing around), the project was done.

Paul fun photos

Full size
And with Andrew too.
