We had a short summer window so decided to go see my Mom in Saskatoon. Here
are some photos of the action-packed trip.

First, Henry has been REALLY enjoying his Crunch Labs boxes every month. This one was
a discussion around extensions/linear movement and he built a spirograph, which was awesome.

Before we left Saskatoon, we took apart the Wii and cleaned the lens of the DVD drive with
a homemade lens cleaner since no one has the old Wii cleaner anymore. I did find it on Ebay
but they wanted $100 to ship it to Canada so that was a no-start. Anyway, Walter now has
Super Mario 1, 2, 3 and the hidden levels to explore on the Wii so we can deal with a rainy day now!

On the drive to Saskatoon, we took a different route since we were in the city for my hand
appointment. This took us south and east of Drumheller and found this sweet rest stop at
the Carolside reservoir and this mesosaur. Cleanest and best-designed outhouse I've seen.

One of the first things Henry does when he gets to Grandma G's is he turns on her fountain and
starts to play in it.
The boys went to Apex Trampoline part and jumped with their cousin Luc

Grandma G and Natalia got to take a load off. For $2 you get 6 minutes of King Kong chair love!

Natalia and Walter at the table eating walleye that my Mom caught.

I took Luc out to explore cool cars near my Mom's house. It's pretty close so we just biked over
for a look. This is a 'G wagon', which is apparently quite the deal at ~$350K.

Starting to figure out how to push and get pushed around.
Luc succcessfully moving a player out of the zone
Luc working around a player and putting the puck in the net

We went back to have a look inside the Porsche dealership and Luc got to see this sports car.

Luc and I went for a test drive at the Tesla dealer and drove a model 3 into the ground. Or at least
as much as you can with a 136 km/hr limit.

We went for a short visit with my Aunty Deb and the boys got to jump on the trampoline at
the neighbour's house.

The boys with their candy from aunty Deb. Henry was most pleased with this visit and said that
Aunty Deb's house was the best because of her cats and her candy.

Next, we got a tour of my buddy Erik's new plane - a Stinson from 1946. This is a tubular aluminum
construction with aluminum and rivets on the shell. Here's Henry trying out the controls and he
was super excited to find out that all of the controls move cables that run on pulleys and control
the air surfaces.

Luc got into it too. This plane is called a 'Flying Station Wagon' but only has four seats.

Henry adjusting and playing with the tail.

Then the boys hucked water bottles around the runway as boys will tend to do.

The last thing I did at my Mom's was replace her front deadbolt. Of course, after ordering a new
one, I realized that the hole in the door wasn't big enough. After borrowing a drill press from
Erik's hangar, and buying a hole saw bit (and a bunch of screwing around), the project was done.
